The rain has finally come! The pastures were so dry, and the hayfields weren’t growing. Now, after the long drought, we have water to regenerate out pastures, and water our gardens. Hopefully more flowers will bloom now and the bees can make more honey!

Exciting news for the days to come, we are expecting two of our three Nigerian Dwarf does to kid within the next week! Our other doe is due next month.

We keep checking on them more often than necessary, and they just look at us like, 'What? I’m just sleeping, no labor over here.” The apples are ripening, and we are busy making sauces.
There is nothing like applesauce, a hot drink, and warm toast for breakfast!

Willow has begun shedding her summer coat, and we are a little apprehensive about what that entails about the coming winter, so off we must go, to gather wood for the stove!
